Lay Clients
I assist litigants in person who need help preparing their case but remain responsible for conducting it themselves.
All work begins with:
an initial consultation, and
a review of available case papers
Clients are then provided with a non-obligation letter of advice setting out scope, fixed fees, and next steps.
I can assist with:
drafting statements and applications
preparing court bundles
reviewing court orders, reports, and correspondence
explaining procedural stages and requirements
I do not:
act as a representative
communicate with the other party
manage litigation or strategy
All documents are drafted collaboratively, approved in writing by the client, and treated as the client’s own. Where specialist legal advice or advocacy is required, clients are signposted at the earliest opportunity.

Direct Access Barristers
I provide freelance paralegal support to Direct Access barristers, most commonly following referral where a client requires preparatory assistance alongside counsel’s involvement.
My role is limited to non-litigious case preparation, including:
drafting statements and applications under client instruction
preparing and organising court bundles
reviewing social work reports and procedural correspondence
structuring case materials for conference or hearing preparation
I do not advise on advocacy, conduct litigation, or correspond with opposing parties. My work is intended to complement counsel’s role, ensuring clients are organised, informed, and procedurally prepared before conferences or hearings.
I have previous experience at junior lawyer level within a Local Authority Children’s Services legal department, which informs my approach to public law material and inter-agency evidence. Fees are capped and converted into fixed fees

Locum Paralegal
I provide locum and contract paralegal support to Local Authorities and solicitors’ firms, primarily in children and family law.
I have prior experience working as a Junior Lawyer within a Local Authority Children’s Services legal department and am familiar with:
public law processes and deadlines
safeguarding frameworks
inter-agency working
high-volume and time-critical caseloads
I can assist with drafting, file preparation, bundle management, and general case support under supervision, on a short-term, project, or overflow basis.

Unbundled Services
I provide court bundle preparation services for family proceedings, ensuring documents are accurately compiled, clearly indexed, and compliant with court directions.
Bundle support may include:
organising and paginating documents
creating chronologies, indexes, and section dividers
ensuring documents are legible, relevant, and properly ordered
preparing electronic bundles in line with court or tribunal requirements
Bundle preparation is undertaken strictly as an administrative and preparatory task. I do not select evidence, determine relevance, or make forensic decisions. Responsibility for the content of the bundle remains with the client or instructing professional.
All bundles are prepared following written instructions and agreed scope, and clients are provided with guidance on filing and service once the bundle has been approved.
This service is suitable for litigants in person, Direct Access matters, and legal professionals who require reliable, compliant bundle support.
